Paper Abstract:      The integration of science and humanities is not an easy task, these areas of study seem to generate graduates with very different mindsets. The challenge facing these authors is to run a postgraduate programme in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Education, in particular to integrate and blend the views of the participants of the course, a cohort that is evenly divided into ‘techies’ and ‘educationalists’. The programme is strongly grounded on Constructionist principles (Papert, 1993a; Papert, 1993b). In line with these principles, this paper explores the use of concept-mapping as an experiential strategy to teach constructionism. In addition, the concept-maps are used to facilitate the participants in the articulation of their knowledge of the relationship between technology and learning. Further, it is hoped that they promote learning in terms of awareness raising, reflection and construction of new conceptual structures as the consequence of “the shock of our thoughts coming into contact with that of others "(Piaget, 1928: 204).
